"As a child growing up in the coastal, inner city of Miami, I read about the Harlem Renaissance
where an abundance of Black arts and culture flourished as the world watched.
The soul of that community beckoned me to join its melodic atmosphere.
Years later, I found myself in the midst of it all - in Harlem!"

We want to know what you think:
SHOUT IT OUT!
In keeping with our mission to make theater in response to issues that impact our communities, Blackberry Productions
and The New Professional Theatre created a project called COPP (Commonalities and Opposites in Partnership for Peace)
to use theater to facilitate changes around overly aggressive policing in our community.  In addition to on-going
workshops and town halls between police and community members, we are creating a play.

Do you believe that the COPP program can help to improve the relationship
between the police and the communities in which they work? How?
